ZIMMERMAN AREA GIRLS BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION (“ZAGBA”)
BOARD OF DIRECTORS JOB DESCRIPTION
Title:
Member of the ZAGBA Board of Director
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To serve as a voting board member of the ZAGBA Board of Directors.
- To work with other Board members in the management and direction of the business of the ZAGBA.
- To volunteer time and services pertaining to developing, providing, and promoting the participation of female youth in amateur basketball within the Zimmerman school attendance area.
- To work and support special events and tournaments announced by the ZAGBA Board of Directors.
- To serve on committees established by the ZAGBA Board of Directors.
- To recruit committee members and future board members.
Term:
One-year minimum which runs from June 1 until May 31 each year. Board Elections take place in May of each year.
Meeting Attendance:
- Monthly meetings the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. During the school year the meetings are held at the Zimmerman Middle School/High School (usually in the Media Center). Meeting may be held at alternate locations in the summer.
- Committee meetings as required for programs and activities. These are scheduled on an as needed basis.
- Annual Board of Directors meeting at the regular May meeting where board elections take place and a forum is provided for parental feedback.

In writing to President of the ZAGBA Board of Directors
Removal:
With or without cause by majority vote of at least a quorum of the Board of Directors
